Brenda serves as the liaison to the Board of Regents Office for the Provost, is responsible for various aspects of personnel administration for faculty and professional and scientific staff, and serves as the office coordinator. Specific duties include preparing reports and docket requests to the Board of Regents, interpreting and implementing personnel policies for faculty and professional and scientific staff including review and processing of Notices of Vacancy, approval of personnel actions, and maintenance of the academic file for faculty data. In addition, she handles the processing of faculty professional development assignments, faculty promotion and tenure recommendations, and faculty and staff consulting activity reports. Brenda also maintains the university-wide administrative officer's list and the office calendar and deadlines list.

Brenda joined the Office of the Provost in 1988 after serving for six years in ISU Extension. She earned the BLS degree from ISU in 2000.
