Ellen serves as the Associate Vice President for Budget and Planning and is responsible for and takes a leadership role in the development and implementation of institutional policies on budget, capital planning, budget model development and space and facilities. She represents the interests of academic units as procedures and systems are developed for financial activity; space, facility and capital projects management; and human resource activity. In addition, she also serves as a liaison between the Executive Vice President and Provost and the President and academic units and other campus offices.

Ellen earned a BA degree in Accounting from Carroll College in Helena, Montana in May 1981 and an MPA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with emphasis on higher education administration in 1989. She earned the Certified in Public Accountancy - Wisconsin in December 1989.
