Mel is a secretary and the front desk receptionist in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. She joined the staff in September 2006. Prior to that, she worked sixteen years in Iowa State University's Student Scheduling Office and three years in the motor coach travel industry. She earned her B. S. degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University in 1985.
