Office of the Associate Provost for Academic Programs
Mission
The Office of the Associate Provost for Academic Programs serves to promote Iowa State University’s land-grant mission by supporting equitable student participation in transformative educational experiences that deepen students’ ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and make positive contributions to society. We accomplish this by collaborating with internal and external partners to empower our students to grow and thrive in an increasing technological, complex, and global society.
Priorities
Undergraduate Programs
Through partnerships with colleges, central units, and industry leaders identify and help implement contemporary undergraduate programs that will enhance student learning and attract new student audiences. Expand academic program delivery to include a selected list of online credentialing opportunities.
Academic Enhancement
Across all demographic groups, promote and support a culture of active student engagement in high-impact educational practices (HIPs). Encourage faculty/staff to collect, review, and use direct assessment data of student learning to enhance the student experience.
