Faculty promotions cross the finish line

Meeting today at the ISU Alumni Center, the Iowa Board of Regents approved promotion and tenure requests for 46 Iowa State faculty. The list was posted this morning on the provost's website. 

Also announced today is advancement for 30 term faculty. The university president gives final approval to advancement proposals for Iowa State's term faculty.

Employee capstone teams share successes, struggles

The members of the 2025-26 Emerging Leaders Academy (ELA) class gathered April 17 to share outcomes of their four capstone projects. They also reflected on what they learned about teamwork, navigating a large university to accomplish goals and how leadership works best among a whole team of leaders.

Provost's office funds 24 transformative initiatives

The office of the senior vice president and provost has announced $2.4 million in funding across two years for 24 transformative initiatives to support new academic programs, student success and career readiness, and build additional capacity in artificial intelligence (AI). Senior vice president and provost Jason Keith announced the one-time funding initiative in December, and proposals were due in early February.

Provost provides update to program vitality review

Senior vice president and provost Jason Keith recently provided an update to senior leaders, deans and faculty leaders on initial outcomes of the university's Program Vitality Review. These outcomes include the recommended closure, merger or consolidation of 23 degree programs.

Science association honors DeLisi for criminal behavior studies
