Bio
Megan serves as a Cyclone Support Specialist on the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost’s Student Success and Retention Team. She works collaboratively with partners in Academic and Student Affairs to provide resources and services to students that promote their success and retention at Iowa State.
Megan leads efforts to provide concierge-style support to students in the Cyclone Support Central Space in Parks Library, including enabling a peer-to-peer support model in her role as supervisor of the Cyclone Support Peer Mentor Team.
Megan graduated from Iowa State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a Learning Technology minor. She also holds a B.S. from Iowa State in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. Megan has experience working in the non-profit sector where she worked with individuals with disabilities as an Employment and Education Specialist. During this time, she earned her Job Developer Certificate and was able to provide job coaching to clients throughout the Des Moines Metro. For the past nine years Megan has worked as a teacher in K-12 public education. She took a deep interest in creating a trauma informed, student-first classroom to promote student success.
